Ongoing In-Home Postpartum Nursing Support
The Holding Space offers ongoing postpartum home care for families who want continued clinical support after an initial visit with Latched & Bloom.
This service is designed to provide continuity — allowing you to work with a Nurse Practitioner who already knows your history, your recovery, and your baby’s needs.
Support evolves as you do, offering a steady clinical presence during the weeks when questions, adjustments, and new challenges naturally arise.
The Holding Space is available to families who have already received care through:
The First Touch
The First Hold
The Sanctuary
This ensures continuity, clinical safety, and personalized care.
The Holding Space is ideal for families who:
Each visit is tailored to what is happening for you now and may include:
continued assessment of physical postpartum recovery
ongoing infant feeding and newborn care support
emotional and mental wellbeing guidance
sleep and adjustment support
evolving care plans based on your current needs
space for questions without rushing
Care is flexible, responsive, and designed to adapt as your baby grows and your recovery unfolds.
Postpartum is not a single appointment.
New questions arise. Feeding evolves. Emotional needs shift. Recovery changes.
The Holding Space provides continuity-based postpartum home care, so families feel supported beyond the initial visit — with clinical presence that adapts as needs change.
This model allows for:
early identification of emerging concerns
proactive support instead of crisis response
emotional safety and trust
calmer, more confident early parenting
Access to The Holding Space begins with one of the following: The First Touch, The First Hold, The Sanctuary.
If you are an existing Latched & Bloom client, we will recommend this level of care when ongoing support feels clinically appropriate. If you’re new, we’ll begin with The First Touch or The First Hold to get to know you and your baby first.
This service is available to families across Durham Region and Toronto.
